Fire & Rescue

The City of Fruitland Park is proudly served by a 25 member Fruitland Park Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

These men and women are trained and certified by the State of Florida.

All members are trained as First Responders to render Basic Life Support. In addition several are trained as Para Medics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Registered Nurses.

All are trained in the use of the most modern Automatic External Defibrillators, which are a part of emergency response equipment.

The Department responds to fires, medical calls and traffic accidents. Most often these volunteers are first on the scene to render extrication from auto accidents, basic life support as needed, or extinguish fires.

The City has agreements in place with the neighboring city of Leesburg and Lake County Fire Department to render mutual aid. The City is well prepared for emergencies with two Class A pumper trucks, one off road brush truck and a fully equipped rescue vehicle.
